New opportunity helps Walsn’s user improve combustion efficiency and reduce carbon emissions

With the new cooperation opportunity offered by the Barisal Power Plant recently, Walsn will be supplying essential analytical products and flowmeters for the Plant, contributing to the efforts to help the user reduce emissions, control operational and maintenance costs, and maximize value at every stage of the operation.

The Barisal power Plant, located in the Barguna district of Bangladesh, is an independent 350 MW plant, planned to be put into operation before the end of 2021, easing the power shortages in Bangladesh.

The analytical products and flowmeters Walsn is providing are the Combustion Efficiency Analyzer, Oxygen Analyzer and Coriolis Mass Flowmeter. These products measure the residual oxygen and carbon monoxide content in exhaust gases and the flow rate of fuel oil, ensuring the coal-firing process is stoichiometrically under control, increasing efficiency, reducing emissions, and saving energy.
